Vedana Lagoon Good to Know: Check-in Time, Deposit and House Rules

Check-in at Vedana Lagoon starts at 3 pm and check-out is by 11 am; arriving earlier or leaving later depends on availability and may cost extra. Expect to show passports, pay a VND 1,000,000 deposit and give a card in the lead guest’s name. The table lists the rules that shape a stay, from children’s age bands to shuttle times, and the cards below explain the ones that catch guests out. Where the resort publishes nothing, we say so.

From the resort’s FAQ and room pages and the booking page, checked October 2026. Rules can change; the conditions attached to your rate are what apply.

Rules that surprise guests, explained

Check-out · 11 am

An 11 am check-out

Vedana Lagoon wants villas back by 11 am, earlier than the noon some travelers expect, and the next guests check in from 3 pm. A later departure is possible only when the villa is not needed and may be charged. With an afternoon flight from Da Nang, about an hour away, that can leave several hours to fill.

What to expect your villa is due back at 11 am, and staying on depends on that day’s bookings. What to do ask about late check-out and its cost when you arrive, and whether bags can be held while you use the pools.

Deposit · VND 1,000,000

A deposit and a card on file

A deposit of VND 1,000,000 appears on the booking page as a fixed amount, separate from your room rate. Booking-site policy notes add that the front desk may want a card held in the lead guest’s name, or cash, to cover extras such as the minibar, spa or meals. The front desk takes Visa, MasterCard, JCB and American Express.

What to expect to hand over a card or about VND 1 million at the front desk on arrival. What to do travel with a card in the lead guest’s own name, and ask whether the deposit is taken as a hold or a charge.

Children · Under 4 / 4–9 / 10+

Three age bands for children

Children under 4 stay free if they sleep in their parents’ bed. From 4 to 9 a surcharge applies, and from 10 a child counts as an adult for price and occupancy. One-bedroom villas take at most three adults, so two parents with two children aged 10 or over will need a two-bedroom villa.

What to expect the price to depend on each child’s age, with a 10-year-old priced as an adult. What to do enter every child’s age when you search, and confirm cot or bed requests in writing.

Access · No lifts

No lifts, and two-story villas

There are no lifts anywhere in the resort. The Three- and Four-Bedroom Hillside villas are two-story houses with no inside staircase between floors, and the hillside villas sit on slopes above the shore. Electric buggies carry guests between the villas, the pools and the restaurants.

What to expect steps and slopes on the way to the hillside villas, and outside stairs between floors in the larger houses. What to do choose a Lagoon View room or a water villa if anyone struggles with stairs, and call a buggy when you need one.

Shuttles · Book 12 h ahead

Free shuttles with fixed rules

Two free shuttles run for staying guests: to Hue at 9:30 am, returning from 27 Chu Van An Street at 3:30 pm, and to Canh Duong Beach at 10:30 am, returning at 2 pm in good weather only. Both must be booked at least 12 hours ahead, and neither carries guests arriving or leaving. A private resort car cost about USD 52 per vehicle, one way, in October 2026, with 48 hours’ notice.

What to expect fixed departure times, and no seat unless you reserve the evening before. What to do book at the front desk the day before, and arrange airport transfers separately.

Evenings & weather

Mosquitoes at dusk, rain in autumn

Guest reviews read in October 2026 report mosquitoes and other biting insects after dark, near the water and in the gardens. Rain is frequent from September to February, floods are common in October and November, and the beach shuttle or outdoor activities can be called off on bad days.

What to expect insects around the terraces at dusk and wet days in autumn. What to do pack repellent, long sleeves for evenings and a light rain jacket, and keep plans flexible in October and November.

Before you arrive at Vedana Lagoon

01

Pack the paperwork

Bring the passport of every guest for registration at check-in and a card in the lead guest’s name for the deposit. Put the children’s ages on the booking so the price and the beds match when you arrive.

02

Write requests in two places

Use the special-requests box on the booking page for bed type, a cot or an extra bed, then write to the resort about a week before you travel. Treat nothing as confirmed until the resort replies.

03

Book transport early

The resort car needs 48 hours’ notice and the free shuttles 12 hours. If you land on a morning flight, arrange the transfer and ask about bag storage before you set off, because villas open at 3 pm.

Honest note

Some rules are simply not published: the resort does not state an age range for the Kids Club, any holiday gala conditions or whether a service charge is added to menu prices. Ask about anything that matters to you in writing before you pay.

Arrival and house-rule questions at Vedana Lagoon

What if I arrive at Vedana Lagoon late at night?

The front desk at Vedana Lagoon is staffed around the clock, so a late arrival works as long as the resort knows to expect you. Add your arrival time to the booking and repeat it by email a day or two before. The resort car runs 24 hours if booked 48 hours ahead; a taxi is possible too, but drivers may not know the resort by name.

Do I need to show my passport at Vedana Lagoon?

Yes. As at hotels across Vietnam, guests show passports at check-in so the stay can be registered with the local authorities. The booking page also lists a minimum check-in age of 18, so the lead guest must be an adult. Have every guest’s passport to hand when you reach the front desk and check-in will be quicker.

Can I pay the Vedana Lagoon deposit in cash?

Possibly, but confirm it first. Booking-site policy notes say extras can be covered by card or cash, while the deposit shown on the booking page is a set VND 1,000,000 and a card held in the lead guest’s name may still be requested. If you would rather use cash, email the resort before you travel and keep the receipt it gives you.

How much is an extra bed at Vedana Lagoon?

The resort offers an extra single bed on request for a fee but does not publish the price. Ask for the exact charge when you book, and have it noted on your reservation. Cots are free. Older listings say the Lagoon View Deluxe uses a sofa bed as its only extra bed, so ask before booking a third sleeper there.

Where can I smoke at Vedana Lagoon?

Only in the designated smoking areas. Rooms and villas at Vedana Lagoon are listed as non-smoking, and booking-site policy notes mention a fine for smoking elsewhere. Ask the front desk at check-in where the nearest designated area to your villa is, so you are not left guessing after dark.

Is a service charge added to bills at Vedana Lagoon?

The resort does not publish whether menu and spa prices include service charge and tax. One guest review mentioned a 15% service charge on services, which we could not confirm with the resort. Ask the front desk on arrival whether the prices you see are net or have charges added, so the bill at check-out holds no surprises.

Can I order breakfast to my villa at Vedana Lagoon if I travel alone?

Ask first. The resort prices in-villa breakfast at VND 155,000 per person with a minimum of two people, so a single order may be charged as two. Otherwise the buffet is served at the DayBreak restaurant each morning until 10 am. Check your confirmation too, since some rates come without breakfast.
