Vedana Lagoon Pools, Spa, Dining & Kids Club

Vedana Lagoon has three shared pools, a spa open until 10 pm, a free gym, daily tai chi and yoga, two working restaurants, a piano lounge and a Kids Club — but no beach. Pools, gym, morning classes and both shuttles cost nothing extra. Spa treatments, private classes and in-villa breakfast are charged, and a few prices are only given on request.

What each facility is really like

Long teal pool with white diamond tile motifs, a woman in a swimsuit sitting on its edge, white umbrellas and a gray-roofed pavilion against green forest

Cape 36 × 12 m · Twilight 50 × 9 m · 7 am–7 pm

Cape and Twilight pools

The Cape pool is the social one, set beside the restaurants, bar and spa with loungers under umbrellas. The Twilight pool is longer and quieter: a 50-meter infinity pool facing the lagoon and the sunset. Both are free and close at 7 pm, so an evening dip means your own villa pool.

Choose Cape if you want lunch and a drink within a few steps of the water. Choose Twilight if you want to swim real lengths or watch the light change over the lagoon.

Vedana Wellness & Spa

Treatments run in spa pavilions with grass-roofed shalas for resting afterwards. Signature packages last from about two hours to five, including couples’ programs and an Early Day Special before 2 pm. The jacuzzi, sauna and herbal steam room are free when you book a treatment. Treatment prices are not published.

Book it if you want a long, unhurried treatment with a lagoon view as part of the stay. Skip it if you only want a quick massage at local prices — the packages here are long by design.

Tai chi 7:30 am · Yoga 8 am · Free

Morning tai chi and yoga

Every day there is a free half-hour of tai chi at 7:30 am, followed by an hour of yoga at 8 am; ask the front desk where the group meets. Private sessions at other times are available for a fee, arranged through the spa.

Join in if you are up early anyway and like a gentle start to the day. Skip it if breakfast before 10 am matters more — yoga ends around 9 am, so time it.

Gym with a treadmill, cross-trainer and exercise bikes facing floor-to-ceiling glass doors onto a lawn with palm trees

Gym

The gym is a single room of cardio machines — treadmill, cross-trainer and bikes — looking out over the garden toward the water. It is free and open until 10 pm. With 27 hectares of grounds and bicycles for guests, many people get their exercise outdoors instead.

Use it if you want a cardio session in the cool hours or when it rains. Look elsewhere if heavy free weights or classes are part of your routine.

Breakfast 6:30–10 am · Horizon 10 am–10:30 pm

DayBreak and Horizon restaurants

Breakfast is a Western and Vietnamese buffet at DayBreak. From 10 am, Horizon takes over for lunch and dinner, with an Asian–European menu and lagoon views until 10:30 pm. The Cape restaurant by the Cape pool also offers private dining. Outside the resort, the nearest places to eat need a car.

Eat in if you want an easy dinner without arranging transport. Eat out if you are staying a week and want variety — Lang Co’s seafood places are about 30 minutes away.

Piano Lounge 3:30–10 pm

Twilight Piano Lounge and private dinners

The Piano Lounge opens at 3:30 pm beside the Twilight pool, so it is the place for a sunset drink. For a special night the resort sets up romantic dinners at Horizon Honeymoon Point; menus and prices are on request — ask the resort when you book.

Book a private dinner if you are marking an anniversary, a proposal or a honeymoon. Keep it simple if a drink at the lounge and dinner at Horizon will do.

Bright playroom with a colorful foam alphabet floor, a small table and chairs, toy shelves shaped like branches and a window onto trees

8 am–8 pm · Front Office, ground floor

Kids Club

Children get a playroom with toys, games and a soft foam floor, downstairs in the building that houses reception. It is open 12 hours a day. Booking sites list it as free; neither the age range nor whether staff watch the children is published, so treat supervision as on request — ask the resort when you book.

Use it if you want a cool indoor place for children to play near reception. Plan around it if you need childcare while you are at the spa — arrange paid babysitting in advance.

Bird garden · Bicycles · Kayaks · Cooking class

ARA Bird Garden and outdoor activities

Peacocks and parrots live in the ARA Bird Garden; photos show scarlet and hyacinth macaws among them. Bicycles are provided for exploring the grounds, and kayaks go out on the lagoon with staff nearby. The Lantern House runs cooking classes, from vegetable carving to well-known Vietnamese dishes. Kayak and class prices are on request — ask the resort when you book.

Try it if you have a free afternoon and children or a curious streak to keep busy. Skip it if you came purely to rest — none of this is needed to enjoy the stay.

Making the most of the facilities at Vedana Lagoon

01

Swim early, toast late

The shared pools open at 7 am and close at 7 pm. Swim lengths in the Twilight pool in the morning, then move to the Piano Lounge, which stays open until 10 pm.

02

Book the spa on day one

Treatments need an appointment. Reserve on arrival for your preferred time, and pick the Early Day Special if you can go before 2 pm.

03

Ask in writing about extras

Kayak fees, private yoga, Kids Club supervision and special diets are all on request. Email the resort before you arrive and keep the reply.

Honest note

The shared pools shut at 7 pm and there is no beach or lagoon swimming to fall back on. Only two restaurants are open for meals, the over-water RainBow is still not open, and guests often find menu prices high next to local places. Spa and kayak prices are not published, and the bird garden’s hours are not listed.

Questions about the facilities at Vedana Lagoon

Which pool at Vedana Lagoon is best for swimming lengths?

The Twilight pool. At about 50 by 9 meters it is the longest of the three and the resort calls it Olympic-size, so it suits steady laps; it opens 7 am to 7 pm. The Cape pool, at 36 by 12 meters, is busier because it sits beside the restaurants. The Blue is indoors and only 14.4 meters long, better for a warm dip than training.

Which pool at Vedana Lagoon suits young children?

Booking sites list a separate shallow children’s pool, one giving its depth as 0.35 to 0.70 meters, though the resort does not mention it on its own pages. For a family swim, the Cape pool is closest to food and shade, and The Blue is heated and indoors for cooler days. Lifeguard cover is not published, so keep children within arm’s reach.

Can I use the sauna and jacuzzi at Vedana Lagoon without booking a treatment?

The resort says the jacuzzi, sauna and herbal steam room are free when you book a spa treatment. It does not say whether guests can use them on their own or for a fee, so that is on request — ask the spa when you arrive. Signature tea is served free to spa guests, and the spa is open 9 am to 10 pm.

Which spa package at Vedana Lagoon fits a morning?

The Early Day Special, about 2 hours 10 minutes and only before 2 pm, is the one built for mornings. The Oriental Experience, about 2 hours 15 minutes, adds a Hue-style hair wash and a Vietnamese body treatment. Longer options run to four hours, and couples’ programs to five. Book a day ahead; prices are given when you reserve.

Are bikes and kayaks free at Vedana Lagoon?

Bicycles are provided for getting around the grounds, and booking sites describe them as free. Kayaks are offered on the lagoon with staff on hand for safety, but Vedana Lagoon does not publish whether there is a charge or a time limit, so ask at the front desk. Some past guests found the bikes worn, so check yours before a longer ride.

What happens in the cooking class at Vedana Lagoon?

Classes take place at the Lantern House and cover everything from carving vegetables into decorations to cooking well-known Vietnamese dishes, which you then eat. The resort does not publish the length, price or class times, so book through the front desk a day or two ahead. If you eat vegetarian, ask whether the menu can be built around that.

What is there to do at Vedana Lagoon on a rainy day?

Head indoors: The Blue heated pool opens 8 am to 7 pm, the spa runs until 10 pm, and the gym is free until 10 pm. The Kids Club keeps children busy from 8 am to 8 pm, and a cooking class fills a few hours. The beach shuttle runs only in good weather, and some outdoor activities may pause in heavy rain.

Where is the best place at Vedana Lagoon for a sunset drink?

The Twilight Piano Lounge, open from 3:30 to 10 pm beside the 50-meter infinity pool, looks out over the lagoon toward the mountains. Arrive about half an hour before sunset for a seat near the edge. If you are in a water pool villa, your own deck faces the same view.
